Disney superstar China Anne McClain performed on the Lewis the Duck “On the Roll Again” float joining a cast of stars that performed in the annual procession. The 85th edition of America’s favorite holiday tradition entertained more than 3.5 million spectators lining the streets of Manhattan and more than 50 million viewers nationwide.

The winners of our Nominate Your Favorite Teacher Contest had a wonderful time seeing Lewis the Duck at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade®!  The winning teacher and nominating family each received a four-night stay at the Hilton New York – Times Square, four tickets to the parade, and a $3,500 American Express gift card.

The winner of the 2011 contest, sponsored by Scholastic, was Mr. Ryan Limpert, 6th grade science teacher at McClure Middle School in Kennesaw, Georgia. His classes are engaged in hands-on activities with his alter-ego, "Mr. Limpertstein," who quotes Albert Einstein and develops dance routines as a catalyst for learning.
